Best registration idea I’ve heard in a while
- [This] would be a great final link to add to a registration confirmation: âLet us know if you see a way we could have made your registration process simpler. All ideas implemented will be given a $___ discount toward the meeting of your choice.â
When I saw this comment to my last post by Jeffrey Cufaude, it was too good not to pull out and put in its own post. I would add that there should be something like this on the evaluation forms as well.
I wish we could do this for our magazines, except they’re already free. I do have a pretty good library of meeting planning books I could give away for ideas worth implementing—would that work? I’d love to give this a try.

Hi Sue,
For your free magazines, it would have been useful to have a note that it is not free (or postage required) for your international readers. After filling out the online form, etc, the screen asking for my credit card info hit me like a sneaky surcharge. Fee is valid and understandable, but this cost was not transparent.
On another note, your blog is great. Keep it up.

Sorry about that. Peter’s right, it does cost for international subscriptions because of the mailing costs. We should make that clearer up front—I’ll bring that up with the powers-that-be.
