The problem with this whole assumption is that once a human bitten a person will become a vampire. Most “believers” of modern vampires do not believe this. If you go from Anne Rice’s Vampire books the human must drink the blood of the vampire, and then the conversion to vampire does not always work. Leave it to scientists to use the most simple assumption.
