“E-mail is so last millennium”
That’s how this AP article says the next generation view e-mail, anyway. They’d rather text message than e-mail, and in fact don’t check their e-mail very often (which, compulsive e-mailer that I am, is incomprehensible). While they still do use it for some things, IM is the way to go to connect with the younger crowd. Does this spell the end to e-mail marketing for meetings? I doubt it. But if you want to make sure your younger folks get the message, IM them. Or, even more radical, give them a call.

Sue:
I would agree email is slow now, many of our meeting planners use text and RSS is fast becoming the way I like to get my info. Our Podcast Show PlanIt Podcast has help us in many ways. Would enjoy talking with you about how RSS and other tech stuff is changing how we get our info. Love your blog.
