Surcharges and fees, once again
What, you thought they went away? No such luck. Check out this article in Smart Money, which outlines just what you—and your attendees— may end up paying above and beyond the room rate. This one I hadn’t heard of before: “Room service now carries up to three fees: a room service surcharge, a delivery fee and a mandatory gratuity.” According to the article, these and other fees and surcharges can add up to 20 percent more on your bill. Ouch.
