I just found hospitality marketing, service, and brand design expert Michael Chaffin’s site, and we are definitely on the same wavelength. Then I read the proposal for his manifesto on customer service at Change This and, well, I want to read more.

How Change This works is that anyone (maybe you?) can submit a proposal to write a manifesto on something you think needs changing, and the proposals that get the most votes get published. So, go check out Michael’s proposal, and if you like what you see, give him your “yes” vote. And check out the other proposals while you’re there. There are always some thought-provoking ideas floating around that site.

What the heck is Squidoo and why should you care? Well, the brilliant marketing dude Seth Godin came up with the idea that everyone is an expert about something, so he gave us a place show off our expertise in what he’s calling “lenses.” Tradeshow marketing expert Rich Westerfield made up a good lense on his area of expertise, called The Expoholic. Which inspired me to finally get off my duff and put together the Meetings Central lense.

It’s very much a work in progress, so please let me know if you can think of some good resources that I’ve missed, either in the comments below or via e-mail. And feel free to build your own lense on whatever you’re passionate about (coming soon from me: a lense on continuing medical education, Australian Shepherds, and maybe some other stuff.)
