Singing the praises for ASAE’s meeting
I just heard about another cool thing related to the recent ASAE conference that I didn’t see on their blog: That every general session started with the “ASAE Country Band” singing three country music songs with new association-management-related lyrics. How cool is that? And the last song they did was set to the tune of “Austin” but was renamed âBostonâ as a preview for next yearâs annual meeting (which I hope to go to, seeing as it’ll be in my backyard).
Did anyone record these songs? Talk about perfect for podcasting. Or even putting them on a CD and selling them to people who could use them for board retreats and other staff meetings (I know, there’s probably copyright issues that would end up costing more than they’d make, but still…I love this kind of stuff. )

Sue, I have an audioblog post that mentions the country songs at http://caeexam.blogspot.com/2005/08/day-2-of-asae-centers-annual-meeting.html
I asked Jeff De Cagna to record some of the songs, but I haven’t heard if the recordings came out or not.
