Event planners, does this sound like your typical day?
Check out this article from MSN Careers: It makes event planning sound like non-stop party! While the job has its perks, I seriously doubt this really reflects a day in the life of most event planners.

I am trying to hold down my lunch! Yeah, that’s a typical day alright . . . How about a real typical day . . . up at 5AM - finding ANYONE from setup to help make sure breakfast and general session is set right . . . oh, and reprinting the agenda for the sixth time to give out and checking signage. After that, reviewing yesterday’s banquet checks and correcting the billing. Then, double checking the suite for the VIP speaker who is arriving early in the am after a sold out night in the hotel . . . Room not ready . . . Only to help presenters change their power point presentations 10 minutes before the general sessio . . . realizing that none of the 12 breakouts have been set yet . . . oh, and this is just the first two hours of the day . . .That article was nonsense . . . (I am using a kind word here, I have another, but . . .)
