US Airways goes bankrupt again
Just in case you haven’t yet heard, US Airways just declared bankruptcy again.
In spite of all their efforts, it seems like the big airlines may not be able to survive in today’s Jet Blue environment. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I’m not entirely sure…

AA is still making money.USAirways’ last four management groups have all made a bunch of mistakes. They could have fixed much of this several years ago by consolidating types of equipment instead of requiring maintenance staff and pilots to service and fly 15 different types of planes. But I give a ton of credit to their employees who have consistently remained cheerful throughout this and the previous ordeals.Even after spending a ton of miles on upgrades and free tix, I’m still sitting on 300,000 miles… and I can’t use them for any planned upcoming trips as the ‘limited awards seats’ are already gone. Sucks for me.
