Don’t dis the Buddha

One would think one wouldn’t have to mention this, but from this article, I guess one does: When in a Buddhist country, don’t dishonor the Buddha. Maybe it’s not such a SNAP?

Last week, I mentioned that the Society of National Association Publications 2004 EXCEL Awards might be a good place to go for inspiration when you’re developing your meetings promotions and brochures. Then Rich Westerfield wrote about how wrong I am.

And now that I think about it, he has a good point: What good does it do you, ultimately, to have the best design–what really should count is how effective it is. But that’s not what these awards are rewarding, far as I can tell. So, if you want to know what will be most effective, not just the prettiest, this may not be the best resource.

But if you want to know how to save money on the printing, I feel pretty confident in recommending this article.

Hurricane update
